Well, we made it to Vale, South Dakota. We have finished out our first week on the project. We dug footings, poured the foundation and a new front sidewalk and patio, basement walls framed in, 2nd floor joists are in, and the subflooring is in progress. Not bad for a first week!
We are enjoying getting to know our host family, the Howreys. What a neat family. The kids are always pitching in to help. Of course, we are working on their new bedrooms, maybe that is the incentive. We have experienced great food and great fellowship with them.
They have only one computer with internet access and we are all sharing, so do not expect posts to be very frequent. I will try to post something once a week.
The weather has been good, some thunder showers, but the lightning here is awesome! Mostly sunny, some very windy days.

Glad to hear you've arrived and things are progressing so well. Praise the Lord for his safety, provision and good weather! Jamie said you might be "extending" your project list and time there...hmmm...well, whatever the Lord leads is the best I guess. Although we do miss you and bible study won't be the same without you. Sunday School has been interesting the last two weeks...Sol has been throwing out some questions which have lead to a lot of debate or discussion - however you want to view it. We had a good group for the painting projects and I think they are both complete now. It was a lot of fun and good fellowship. Bud & I were thankful we were here to be a part of it. Last weekend we cleaned the garage and took photos of the rest of the truck parts we have. Tonight we'll sit down and get them on Craigslist along w/the photos we took at your house. Praying God brings the right person to buy it all up and give us a good price so we can be one step closer to being ready when the funding comes in. Sunday night is our big "introduction" from OMS @ their dessert which is being held at the church @ 7:15 p.m. Bud is scared to death...you know he's SHY!!!! :) Love & miss you all.
